About Mathieu. The backstory.

Two decades. A lot of meetings.
A few hard lessons.

Hi, I’m Mathieu Lanssens, founder of Your Time To Speak. I’ve spent 20+ years in digital marketing and e-commerce building teams, scaling brands, advising companies from startups to international corporations like Proximus, smartphoto, AG Insurance, Samsonite, Delhaize, KitchenAid and many more.

Most of that journey has been rooted in Belgium, where I’ve worked with some of the country’s most recognisable brands. But I’ve also lived and worked in London and New York City – two years each, two cities that shaped how I think about ambition, pace and people.

New York, especially, never really let me go. There’s something about that city… the energy, the directness, the relentless sense that things are possible, that got under my skin. I still go back regularly. To recharge. Some people have a therapist. I have Manhattan.

I’ve sat in boardrooms, led agencies, co-founded businesses and helped young professionals grow into senior experts and leaders. But here’s what nobody tells you when you’re in the middle of it: you can be good at your job and still be terrible at managing your time, your energy and your attention. I’ve seen brilliant people drown in their own calendars. Leaders who couldn’t finish a thought because their day was one long interruption. Teams that worked hard and moved slowly.

At some point, I stopped pretending that was just how it worked.

Your Time To Speak was born from that realisation.

Not from a burnout. Not from a crisis. From two decades of watching smart, capable people underperform. Not because of strategy, but because of how they structured their time and communicated their thinking.

I believe the next generation of leaders won’t just be the ones with the best ideas. They’ll be the ones who protect their focus, communicate with clarity and know when to say no to the noise.

That’s what I help you build.

Through coaching, advisory and keynote speaking, I work with entrepreneurs, founders and executives who want to lead with more intention, and less chaos. Because you don’t need more hours. You need to use the ones you have better.

I’m also a husband and father of two. Which, as any parent knows, is the ultimate time management challenge.
