External Communication Training for Teams

Your team is good at the work.
But can they sell it, defend it, and make it land?

The gap between what your team delivers and how clients, partners or stakeholders experience it is almost always a communication gap. Not a competence gap. Strong external communication doesn't just protect relationships, it creates them. This is where we work.
THE PROBLEM

Good work that isn't communicated well is invisible.

Teams that work with external partners (clients, agencies, suppliers, investors) are constantly being judged on how they show up, not just what they deliver. A misaligned brief costs weeks. A presentation that doesn’t land loses the room before the work gets a chance. A difficult conversation handled badly damages trust that took months to build. These aren’t rare exceptions. For most teams, they happen every week. And they’re entirely fixable.

Does this sound like you?

Briefs go back and forth because expectations weren't set clearly from the start.

Client presentations don't land. The work is good, but the story isn't.

Difficult conversations with partners get avoided until they become real problems.

Your team communicates differently with external stakeholders. Inconsistently, reactively.

Feedback is given poorly, too vague, too blunt, or not at all.

Relationships feel transactional instead of like real partnership.

THE APPROACH

What we work on

01. Setting expectations and aligning on briefs

Most miscommunication happens at the start, not the end. How to open a project, a relationship, or a conversation in a way that prevents the problems that come later.

02. Presenting work convincingly

ow to structure and deliver a presentation that doesn’t just inform but gets buy-in. Whether it’s a pitch, a project update, or a quarterly review, the way you frame and deliver your work determines how it’s received.

03. Difficult conversations with external partners

Giving honest feedback to a client. Pushing back on a brief you disagree with. Addressing tension in a partnership before it becomes a rupture. How to have the conversation that needs to happen without losing the relationship.

04. Communication consistency across your team

When different people on your team communicate differently with the same client, it creates noise and erodes trust. How to build a shared communication approach that feels coherent and professional.

05. Building relationships, not just managing them

The difference between a transactional client relationship and a real partnership is almost always communication. How to move from vendor to trusted partner and what that requires from everyone on the team.

WHAT CHANGES

What you get back

Fewer misalignments, fewer costly misunderstandings.

Presentations that land and get the decisions you're asking for.

A team that handles difficult conversations instead of avoiding them.

Client and partner relationships built on clarity and trust.

Consistent communication across your team, whoever is in the room.

Partnerships that feel like partnerships, not like firefighting.

Who you're working with

I’ve spent over 20 years on both sides of the client-agency relationship. Running agency teams, managing international brands, and leading partnerships across industries and markets. I’ve been in the room when a presentation lost the client. I’ve managed the fallout from a misaligned brief. I’ve had to rebuild trust after a relationship went sideways. I know what it looks like when external communication works and what it costs when it doesn’t. That’s what I bring into this work.
